Pray for Greece

The Greek language and culture paved the way for the spread of the Gospel to the majority world in the 1st century. Today, Greece stands at the gateway to the least reached in the Middle East and the 10/40 window.

Greece has less than 20,000 believers, around 0.18% of the current population. It is considered the neediest mission field in Europe, including the former Eastern bloc countries and Albania.

Despite EU charters on Freedom of Religion, Evangelical and Charismatic churches still face many legal roadblocks. Today, only a few historical churches operate with a valid church permit.

Currently, the average church attendance on any given Sunday is between 15-30 people. There is a growing need for new church planting along with revitalization and growth of already existing communities.
